Problems 1, When I run this Checker, my intranet server was broght down, I am not sure if it was caused by this program.2, if a link called with a parameter it was list as a broken linkfor example, employee.cfm?emp_id=1, if you call this page in another page providing an emp_id, it works fine, but if you open it directly then it will fail.Overroll, I like this program. I wonder if you have experenced the above problem and have any sugestions.Thank you.Alex

Also tried out the XENU\'s Link Sleuth application, which has a better look and is faster.The output of this Free Link Checker is more verbose. Actually prefer tabular format like the one in Xenu\'s

I am experiencing difficulties accessing Gmail and I used your tool to try to identify and resolve the problem. The answer I received was: "error 404- the link does not exist". In other words I am at exactly the same point I was before downloading your program.

Reporting is indeterminate Unfortunately, I wasn't able to produce a report that was useful. Even after setting various reporting options regarding recursion and levels of nesting, the output was a simple one or two liner suggesting a broken link, but no details or URL for the broken link.

Very Helpfull? What I would suggest is don't use internet exsplorer 7 it's full of bugs, use the latest firefox.

Three Big Issues While your program worked quickly it needs a lot of added features. For instance it would be nice if it was able to crawl through all the pages in the website so I don't have to manually do it (I can find web tools that do this for free). It also needs the ability to show me where the link was so I can fix the link if it's he link that's broken not the site. Finally I also noticed that if the internet connection is slow or the server is busy the program just calls the link broken instead ...

Not using I was evaluating to see if we could use it within our company network, but there is no way to pass credentials, like for example XML SPY does. So actually I only tried it once and then simply decided not to use. Am sure its a good product otherwise. Thanks for letting me evaluate.

One of the best website analysis tools around I tried many programs like this and I think this one is the best. It handles authentication correctly which about half of the tools out there do not. It is good at detecting errors on certain web pages and finding orphaned files. My only complaint is that the interface could be better. I like the view that you see while the website is being crawled as opposed to the view after that completes, but even then there is no good way to launch a web page that has been marked with an error. Perhaps this is possible from the HTML ...

This add-on for Word 7 never worked for me. All I got was the following message:Command Failed.After a few seconds it would show two links (in a document with hundred of internal Word links)- one external and another that is an email link.

Was using this with Word 07. Didn't appear detect my broken links. Everything was marked as suspicious, where I did have broken links it was not finding. I was on an intranet, where the links were pointing to internal servers.
